Skycop started the legal battle against airBaltic airline

Flight compensation company Skycop took airBaltic to court for unpaid flight compensations which they owe their passengers under the EU Regulation EC 261. This law defines when an airline has to pay compensation for a delayed, cancelled or overbooked flight.

There were 207 court cases against the airline in Lithuania, which were initiated by Skycop. airBaltic lost in the court so they will have to pay 120 000 EUR compensation for 385 passengers. After this success, legal actions take place in Poland and Latvia.
