Regulation (EC) No. 261/2004 defines EU flight delay rights of air passengers and responsibilities of airlines. There are detailed rules of compensation and contribution to passengers in such cases as flight delay, cancellation and overbooking indicated in this law. You will find more information in Air Passenger Rights.
