“My flight cancelled” today. What legislation controls the payment of easyJet compensation for cancelled flight?

Regulation (EC) No. 261/2004 defines the rules of the payment of all EU airlines compensation for cancelled flights, also it describes the cancelled flight rights of air passengers and responsibilities of airlines. The rules of compensation and contribution to passengers in events of delayed, cancelled and denied boarding flights are indicated in this law. You will find more information in Air Passenger Rights.
